Fund Raising

Shopping online?
You can also help raise funds for the DLI Friends when shopping online by using easy fund raising and it won’t cost you a penny.
Just visit http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/dli-friends/ to register and shop with over 2000 well known retailers like Amazon, Argos, M&S, eBay and many more.  If you order groceries online then you can use the easyfundraising site to do that too.
Whenever you buy something, the retailer makes a donation to DLI Friends. They’ve helped other causes raise over £2,000,000 so it really does work.
We’d be really grateful if you could use easyfundraising too. It won’t cost you a penny extra to shop through easyfundraising and you can even save money personally with special offers and voucher codes.

       Searching the Web?
Even if you don’t shop online you could still help by using the easysearch.org.uk search engine!
Benefit the DLI Friends –
By using easysearch instead of Google or any other search engine, you can make a real difference.
easysearch is completely FREE.
10 searches a day would raise around £20 a year for the DLI Friends.

Other benefits
As well as raising funds, easysearch also gives you the best search results available on the web.
Today, the Internet is so big that different search engines will often deliver different results for the same search. So, by combining the strengths of several search engines together – Yahoo!, Bing, MIVA, and many more – you get the very best results in terms of accuracy and relevance, which means you’ll find what you’re looking for quickly and easily every time – all in one ‘easy’ search!
Use easysearch.org.uk every time!

Why Not Make a Positive Will Decision?

If you served in the DLI or if a member of your family served in the Regiment and you have items (photographs, documents, medals, etc) that would be a valuable addition to the Regimental collections, then why not make a bequest in your will to ensure that these items are not simply discarded but are preserved for the future?
In addition, a number of people have in recent years decided to make a positive move to review the arrangements made in their wills and support the work of the Friends.
If you are interested in making a bequest to the Friends in your will and would like to discuss it further please contact the Secretary of the DLI  Friends via the DLI Museum and Durham Art Gallery –  email: secretary@dlifriends.com
Remember your bequest can make a major difference to preserving the DLI’s history or to improving the education of the young about the DLI history.
If you do decide to act please tell us about any arrangements that you make that may affect us in the future.
Thank you.
